Gartner: Intel 3D chips difficult to dominate the mobile market

Gartner analysts point out that Intel’s new 3D Tri-Gate crystal design will not be enough to achieve the ambition of the company in the mobile and tablet computer market. Gartner Vice President Du Lanei (Ken Dulaney), Intel (Intel) breakthrough technology supporting Ivy Bridge 22 nm processors will be used, but its design would not be sufficient to enter the mobile market.

Today almost all of the Smartphone and tablet computers are from ARM architecture chips, rather than the Intel x86 because the ARM architecture has been been optimized into a lower power, and battery life to get good performance in the device. Though Ivy Bridge with Intel’s number one in low power and high performance design.

But Du Lanei pointed out that Intel faced a special test is communications technology. He stressed that Intel had never successfully in the wide area communication. For example, Intel’s implementation of WiMax is struggling, also in LTE 4 g substantially backward in the field. You know, but when you deal with mobile phone manufacturers should meet the minimum requirements.

According to Du Lanei tablet computer is a “considerable Smartphone”, rather than a small PC. So its manufacturer most handset makers, they had and Texas instruments, Qualcomm, or other communication chips have a good cooperation.
