Recently, Microsoft preparing to launch its latest plan, which they called “Project Barcelona”.
The project will be used for enterprise search and information storage used by the Web crawler tool. Crawlers will search for Microsoft products, such as SQL
Server, Excel, SharePoint, and additional data. “Project
Barcelona “index server will be the follow-up of the metadata, making it easier to locate and access business information across the enterprise. There are also specially designed “Project
Barcelona “tool available to database administrators.

“Project Barcelona” sounds like a upgrade version of Microsoft Search server, and will compete with other enterprises, such as Apache Solr enterprise search server.

Microsoft’s Andrew Conrad “Project Barcelona” team blog “for non-development company, to build their own tools for business intelligence and data collection and use of Access, Excel and SharePoint this is very poor.”

“Modern enterprise is very data-intensive, and tend to be network-like, but can understand and take full advantage of enterprise data topology tools almost does not exist. But this is not entirely a bad thing, contrary to this challenge will inspire a better tool to be overcome. “Andrew Conrad said.

Finally Andrew Conrad said the Panel will be collected through a series of technical preview community feedback, and is scheduled for release in the summer. (Li Zhi/translation)
